"Planet X" — Xiunus

In a galaxy far, far away is the planet of Xiunus. A temperate, earthlike planet, Xiunus is abundant with life - both intelligent and not. Due to its unique lifeforms and multiple competing intelligent life forms, Xiunus has been marked as a protected zone by the Intergalactic Union, much to the dismay of corporations who would like nothing more than to suck it dry of its resources.

You have been picked from many to form a colony on the surface of the planet of the planet's native lifeforms in order to research the inhabitants and relay this information upwards. Each colony is closely monitored by the Department of Protected Inhabited Planets, or the DPIP, to ensure that nothing out of the ordinary occurs.

As per an agreement with the nations on the planet, each colony gets one young tsabhua colonist to raise and begin your studies on, though sometimes others will come across your colony and desire to join.
