Ambush predator insectoids
Lurewyrm are a parasitic creature living in and around colonies. They are ambush hunters and use the cries of infants or babies to lure larger prey towards them. They will then attack in droves, using the stinger on their tail-end to paralyse and poison their chosen prey. Then, they begin to feed on the still living creature. Each participant in the hunt retrieves a piece of meat to carry back towards the colony. Natives of Xiunus will eat this insect only when they are in dire straits and in need of protein.
