Planet X

Planet X also knows as Xiunus, is a temperate, earthlike planet, abundant with life - both intelligent and not. Due to its unique lifeforms and multiple competing intelligent life forms, Xiunus has been marked as a protected zone by the Intergalactic Union, much to the dismay of corporations who would like nothing more than to suck it dry of its resources.

You have been picked from many to form a colony on the surface of the planet of the planet's native lifeforms in order to research the inhabitants and relay this information upwards. Each colony is closely monitored by the Department of Protected Inhabited Planets, or the DPIP, to ensure that nothing out of the ordinary occurs.

As per an agreement with the nations on the planet, each colony gets one young tsabhua colonist to raise and begin your studies on, though sometimes others will come across your colony and desire to join.

Your Researcher

Researchers are an important part of the Xiunus economy. They're basically personal characters of your own that act as intermediaries between your colonists (tsabhua, belemoid, etc) and DPIP (the meta "corporation" that runs Xiunus behind the scenes and also a playful term for admins).

Researchers can be anything and everything, so long as they are:

  • Sapient and sentient. They have perception of "self" and can communicate with other sentient + sapient races.
  • Not one of the species playable on Xiunus. Aka, they cannot be Tsabhua, Belemoid, or Tark'ee.

This means that you can include other ARPG species or intelligent animals as your researcher if you would like to! Including a researcher in an art piece or literature piece with your colonists will grant a bonus to their experience gains.

Your researcher's role is to observe the natural inhabitants of Planet X by leading their own colony.

Your Starter Pack

After you’ve joined, you'll find an item called a "Starter Pack" in your inventory/cargo bay! If you go to your cargo bay via the "Colony" > "Cargo" dropdowns, you'll find the item. To open it, click on it, select the item from the list of "Item Variations" and select "Open", then hit "Open" again in the little menu that appears.

Find your inventory

Your starter pack contains a gift of items, a handful of Immigration Tokens to buy new colonists from the Immigration Center, and a slot to randomize your first colonist: a tsabhua.

Your First Colonist

Example of a colonist holding the starter pack.Once you've received the "Starter Colonist" item from your starter pack, redeem it in much the same way that you opened your starter pack. Your new colonist will be automatically randomized for you - If you wish to reroll manually, please send in a submission to the re-roll prompt to request reroll!

Your first colonist will then look something a little like this.

Once you submit your design update and it gets admin-approved, you can start playing.

If you're new and want an admin to design your first ever colonist for you, free of charge, head on over to our design service.
