What's on my account page

Right about now, you might be wondering: What can other players see about me?

If you click on your colony name on the top right of the screen, it will take you directly to your profile. This is your public page, visible to anyone who comes to the site and finds you. Below is information regarding what your profile contains!

The main section.

Remember when you set your colony name when you registered? On your profile page, that name is front and center as your main identifier. To the right of your colony name is a button that says All Residents — that leads to your designed colonists. This first section also includes your account ID in parentheses and your online status, as well as when you registered.

Beneath that is a section of general information.

Callsign — This is effectively your nickname, or what we'll call you.
Colony Name — This is the name you registered under, your colony name.
Position — For most people, this is "Colony". However, if the user is a staff member, their special role will be stated here.
Population — This is the number of colonists you have and how many spots you have available until you are overpopulated.
Alias Prime — This is your primary authentication name. You can change this among your authenticated websites, but only one will be visible here.
Faction — So far only used in site wide events, this is a little club or guild your account is associated with. Admin-formed.
Birthday — You are welcome to change your birthday's visibility at any point, from full visibility to showing nothing about it.
Region — This is the region in the world of Xiunus your colony has as its home. You can change this in your Settings. This is most important for Observations rolled during activity submissions.

Currency, Cargo Hold, etc.

Beneath the general information are a few sections. The first of which shows your in-game currency, which can be used for purchasing items, pets, and the like in the game's shops. These shops can also be found in the top navigation under "World" > "Commerce."

Cargo Hold — This section shows a smattering of your recently collected items. If you've just joined, you should see your newbie starter pack here.

Livestock — If you tap the word "Livestock", it will switch to showing you any collected domesticated animals you've found. As a new user, you won't have anything here or in the following two sections.

Armoury — This is a selection of recently obtained weapons and equipment. These are a special type of item that doesn't show up in your cargo hold but instead can be assigned to colonists for special bonuses in activities.

Badges — "Achievements" and "Awards" are other names for the sort of things you'll find here. Progress in the game and you'll be sure to pick up a few!

Your Researcher.

Once you've created a researcher by going here, you'll see a button here with your researcher's name and a thumbnail image, if you've uploaded one. This will lead to the researcher's mini-profile, where you can fill out information about them and include a little reference sheet.

Be aware that Xiunus does not allow the use of AI-generated art except in the cases of starting points or reference. You cannot use AI work here unless at least a rough 90% of it has been painted over with clear effort to make it your own.

Your Profile.

You can include your own profile text here from your settings. No racism, homophobia, sexist, transphobic, bigotry, or any other offensive sort of text should go here. Be respectful of others' cultures, religions, and the like. Also be aware of our site rating: 16+. Our site is not the place for blatantly sexual content.

Colonists and Genos.

Finally, what we've all been waiting for. This shows a collection of full colonists you own. You can sort these by clicking on My Colonists on the colony menu bar in the navigation bar. Genos aren't listed here, so if your design hasn't been approved (or even submitted) yet, you'll need to wait! If you hit View All, you will see all full colonists of your colony. These show the following information:

Identification Code and Level — If the colonist is not a geno, it will have an identification code. Until we reach 10000 colonists sometime in the far future, all identification codes should be four digits long. The level will start at One for adults and Zero for whelps.

Thumbnail Icon — This is the thumbnail for your colonist and also serves as a link to their page.

Name — The name attributed to this colonist, set in their edit profile page. Genos' names can't be changed due to it being an important identifier for them, but as soon as their image is approved, you can go in and name them.

Specialty — If your colonist has gone through the Class Specialization process, they will have a link here to their specialty, which allows them some bonuses in activities.

Short Note — This is only present if you've added a Short Note via the profile page of your colonist. There's just a little one-line descriptor here, often used for lore ranks or nicknames.

My Settings

If you hit Settings, you'll be redirected to a page full of forms. From here, you can make a number of changes to your account.

Avatar — Your avatar is a 100x100 image. The max filesize is 100 KB and images are resized to 100x100px. If you have a 50x50px avatar from Deviantart that you'd like to use, it's suggested that you resize it up using Keep Hard Edges so that it'll still look good.

Website Theme — There are several website themes you can pick from here! You can always go back and switch it whenever you'd like. Sometimes, if an admin changes a code in the CSS, you may need to hard-refresh in order for the CSS to fix itself. If you notice something is hard to read or looks bad, please let us know on Discord!

Region — This is the region your colony is found in.

Profile — This is where you edit your profile that we mentioned up above! To edit the source HTML of it, hit the icon that looks like <> . Be warned - if you want to use FontAwesome icons, you'll need to include an HTML space inside the italics bracket code, like this, minus the spaces:

< em class="fa-solid fa-book" >& nbsp ;< /em > to get

The space code is easy to forget, so if you hit the button next to the long dash (hr), it'll place a space for you that will work. Just using regular space-bar spaces won't work, for whatever reason.

Email Address — You can change your email address at any time, but remember - you'll need to authenticate it again. If you have an email account from some providers, like hotmail or yahoo, you may not get the authentication email - let an admin know on Discord if you have this issue and we can manually authenticate for you!

Change Password— Admins can't manually change passwords for you, so if you forget your password, you'll need to use the password reset function from the login page.
