As they arrived in Rekes, Roam gave a gentle nudge to Fawn, pointing at the Tsabhua waiting for them. The red belemoid, supposedly a friend of Bloo's, had visited back home in L'hatzif a while ago and had offered in passing to teach someone in the colony some instruments. Moments like this made Roam wonder how Bloo even know so many Xunari. He had always found the belemoid quite awkward, but he supposed that sometimes people's skills were more... Hidden beneath the surface.

 

Roam quickly hopped over to the red Belemoid, excited to introduce himself, with Fawn following closely behind. "Hello! Are you Talus?" the red belemoid nodded "I assume you two are Fawn and Roam, right? Friends of Bloo?" Fawn nodded excitedly "Thank you so much for offering to teach us! Bloo said we couldn't have asked for a better teacher."

 

The belemoid offered a small, amused smile "Well, I wouldn't say that. Bloo has always been quite dramatic, hasn't he? Come on, I'm sure I can teach you guys something down where I live."

 

Fawn and Roam happily followed their new companion to his home, a small cave that looked hand-dug.

 

Talus offered the two a drink, and then gestured at the instruments she had lining her walls. "I play mainly drums. Y'know, claws and all- string instruments don't really work for me."

 

Fawn nodded awkwardly "I suppose we could play string instruments. I'm not sure what'd suit me well." Roam nodded as she spoke, piping up as she finished "We've mainly been wanting to learn to entertain guests," he sighed "Bloo has been anxious about diplomacy, y'know, getting along with others. We thought that having some fun celebrations and such might help."

 

Talus nodded "Parties are the best, and you can't have a party without music, so I've been told." Roam and Fawn nodded again, gesturing at the instruments in the other Xunari's home. "Seems like it was a good call to ask you, though." Talus excitedly stood up, gesturing at the other two to do the same. "I have quite a collection, yea. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have, of course."

 

They talked like that for a while, Talus showing the two every instrument he owned and briefly teaching them on any that piqued their interest. The whole trip took about a week, Talus wanting to make sure the two picked the right instrument- Roam choosing a style of drums on the first day, and Fawn eventually choosing one of the string instruments.

 

As they wrapped up the lessons, Talus walked the two back to one of the port. He gently gave them some reminders as well as some last minute advice, and eventually took out the bag he had been carrying, offering Fawn a small string instrument. "you guys will have to share, unfortunately." he chuckled "The claws make it hard to play, so I thought you guys would get more enjoyment out of it than I ever would." Roam gratefully took it, turning it around in him hands "It's beautiful. Thank you so much." the three waved their goodbyes as Fawn and Roam travelled back to L'hatzif.
