Gwydion is playing the lyre and sing second voice, while enthusiastic Niamh is doing the vocals.
Kumos seems... weirded out a bit. Who are these people and why are they singing a hymn on L'Hatzif in Rekes?!

WC: 530 words

The colony had begun regular trips to Rekes. Gwydion had approved trying for relations with the natives of the mountainous region, even if the journeys always were long and full of hardship. Where he wanted lore and wisdom, Faolain wanted sparring partners and Maeve and Liam were interested in Herbs. Darragh wanted intel mostly. Then there was Niamh. Niamh his young and very eager apprentice. Niamh wanted to make friends. And so the sandy colored Tsabhua and his young charge had taken a stroll one day through the mushroomy forests of their home. Friendship required a show of good faith and gifts. To allow Niamh to learn making her own choices, Gwydion had let her choose what they where going to do in order to achieve good favor with the natives of Rekes.

"We need to tell them how awesome L'Hatzif is! Bring them mushrooms and stories! So why not make a story - NO! Let's make a song about our mushroom rings!"

The young tsabhua almost but her tongue so bubbly was the stream of words that came out of her mouth. Gwydion smiled at that. He loved the wonder and energy that Niamh brought with her. Hopefully she would remain like this even when she eventually grew up. It was such a fresh breeze. Once they had a solid ground for the hymn. Geydion and Niamh practised with each other, setting down the melodies and tunes, before finally setting out for the trek to Rekes. Gwydion carried his lyre with him to give some musical support. Niamh would sing the hmyn and he would play and occasionally chime in with a second voice. Eventually they reached the mountain ranges of Rekes. As always the natives were hard to find and so Gwydion took one of Darragh's reports as his guide. The colony had tried so often to win the approval of an albino named Kumos, that the spymaster had a whole dossier on where to find the elusive belemoid.

Eventually the two tsabhua indeed encountered Kumos, who again was very flustered by the whole attention seeking business. Eagerly Niamh burst into song. She had waited for so long and could not contain herself anymore. She had to sing this hymn NOW. Gwydion sighed a little. That was not quite how this was supposed to go. Still, experienced as he was, he took his lyre and began to play. To accentuate the flying spores that currently were the topic of the current verse Gwydion played fast and happy sounding chords, making it sound almost like a little dance.

"...you can chase the spores, follow my song, enjoy the enchantment, we have waited so long..."

The young tsabhua's eyes almost sparkledas she sung this line directly at Kumos who seemed rather aback and flustered. What did these strange people want of her? They seemed a bit like they should eat other things than just mushrooms. That surely would help them.

"Come, see our dance, come now, take this chance. Leave this place for once and see, how wonderful a ring of mushrooms can be!"

With a flourishing bow the two bards ended their performance and Kumos breathed a sigh of relief.
