The rhythm of Dylidae's steady pace thumping on the ground, or gliding through waters, sent Nepeta to sleep with Lantana fighting the urge herself. The whelps had exhausted themselves of questions and it became quite clear, at least to Torook, that despite his eagerness to help the whelps, Dylidae much preferred the serenity of silence. The wonderful and colourful world of the Fungal Forest slowly slid by as the suns made their way across the hazy sky above. Lantana began to slump into the fur on Dylidae's thick neck, gradually loosing her personal battle with sleep.
"We are approaching the edge of the Forest." Dylidae's voice rumbled gently as he attempted to not awaken those who slept. "Do you remember where you left your clan?"
Torook looked around, trying to find any sort of familiar landmark but was beaten to it by Rita who had been silent until now. "That giant mushroom ahead, the one with the red slit, we had passed that on our way to your swamp."
"Oh yeah!" Torook exclaimed loudly, causing Nepeta to complain in her sleep. "We are not far now. There should be a rock with lots of glowing blue stuff growing from it too!"

Dylidae picked up his pace ever so slightly, eager to get the whelps back to the adults responsible for them.
Following the whelps guidance, the group saw the signs of their convoys camp ahead. Torook called out, spotting his father Remi among those sitting around and chatting. Remi turned to Torook, a smile beamed across his face which quickly fell into concern at the sight of the whelps being carried by the stocky stranger. Remi stood up quickly, not taking his eyes from Dylidae as they closed the gap, seemingly readying himself for some sort of encounter. Dylidae slowed and eventually stopped at a respectable distance from the camp.

"Go on ahead, little ones. Wake your friends." Dylidae instructed, raising his voice only slightly with the hopes that Remi and the others could hear him.
Not understanding the tension, Torook pushed onto Lantana to wake her before jumping down from Dylidae's back and running the distance up to Remi, who took a step forward to have the very confused Torook between his legs.
Nepeta slowly awoke, stretching and yawning before sliding off and making her unhurried way to familiar company, followed by the sleepy Lantana and Rita.
"Dad! This is Dylidae!" Torook called up to Remi excitedly "He is like us! Like... me."
Remi could not help but feel a bit intimidated by this so-called Dylidae, who stood quite a bit taller than himself, and yet had significantly more visual strength. Composing himself, Remi called out.
"Welcome, Dylidae. I thank you for bringing back our whelps." The suspicion was barely detectable in Remi's voice. "I hope that they did not cause you too much trouble."
Dylidae eyed off the blue and black Tsabhua - he could see the resemblance between him and Torook, however how Torook was born still remained a mystery to him.
"Well met. No trouble at all. They do, however, have many questions for me. As I do for you." Dylidae did not attempt to hide his suspicion from his voice.
Remi looked down at his son, Torook, then over at where Rita, Lantana and Nepeta were pestering some of the other adults for food. "I bet you do, however I am sorry to say that I probably do not have the answers you seek. I have similar questions." Dylidae followed Remi's gaze down at Torook, suspicion leaving his mind and only replaced with an odd sadness that these whelps may not know themselves. "My manners! I am sorry!" Remi started, raising a hand to his head "I am Remi, and you have met my son Torook. Please, do join us for a meal." Remi turned to the side and gestured back to the camp where delicious and smokey smells wafted through the humid L'hatzif air.
The invitation caused Dylidae to smile and relax "Of course, I would love to join you."
