It hurt, A LOT, to fall down off cliffs. Mouse was normally great on the cliff sides- his claws helped dig him holes deep in the rocks and dirt of his home hills. Yet, right now, this Belemoid had slipped. His cream colored paws had been unable to hold on to the freshly wet cliff sides of these rocks.
Mouse gasped when he landed on the first bounce, twisting in the air before hitting the un even ground. The rocks rained upon him as they followed the mountain side, needing to cover his head fast as he was pelted with the small bullet like bites to his hide. When the pattering noises stopped, the tan beast did his best to stand back up. Stabbing pain graced his back leg when he set it down; sending the male back down to his side in a pained growl.
Ok, he wasn't going to be able to use that. Chipped front claws dug back in to the rocky soil as he once aging pulled himself to a stand- Now a tripod as he kept zero weight upon it. It felt so embarrassing to be limping like this, luckily, it was very empty out here. Any faster then a walk jiggled his leg uncomfortably. Mouse's face flinched at a particularly bad one, having to stop and grumble at the pain. He took a second to try and see that leg- a massive gash and a stone was lodged in it; no wonder it hurt.
It took a while to get to any where with civilization and a bit longer with directions to the nearest doctor. Unfortunately, that was in the Big City Bitzaron and that place was a Vertical maze. A panting walk and the tan beast passed over the bridge with wavering gait. Head low in pain, Mouse barely felt the palm to his shoulder as his swaying took him down.
"Sir? Can you hear me?" The voice faint but concerned as his ear twitched. "I am going to help you to the doctors. Is that alright?" Mouse's body remained heavy in the grey beasts hands, guided down a cleared street with the creature keeping his weight up.
It was a long while before Mouse's eyes cleared of a pained fog, catching the side of a grey and black striped Tsabhua who was washing their hands. He made a small groan of pain as he shifted about on the stretcher he was on. It must have been loud enough as the doctors ears moved and their face shot in his direction. "No, no, no, please dont move!" The taller beast- by a LOT- scrambled back in to the little cove he lay in. There was no other colonist in this place as he was sent back flat with the washed hands. "Im glad you are awake, sir, but you need to stay still and off your legs." He could hear the striped beast clearly now as he stayed back down per their urgency.
"My name is Taiah. Im a physician, I can get you leg back in order but I am by myself right now. Please; try not to move. I will be putting you under for a little bit; you aren't allergic to anesthesia, are you?" Mouse took the tone to be a female; sure, he could be wrong… but it seemed right.
"Ive never been under." The tan Belemoid admitted as he let her go re-wash her hands.
"Then, I will be on a super monitor for you. It's very routine around here; but the body might not like it, so I will keep it quick and precise for you. Are you ready?" The lady had already had a clean smock on and her cleaned hands were in the air. She need only use her not dominate hand to put the mask on him. A hesitated nod and she did just that, quick movements to get the mask over his compliant head and turned it on.
"You will feel warm and sleepy after a………." The lady trailed off as he went under. There were no dreams in this state, but no pain either. The wake up period felt very heavy to him; drowsy and warm as he was under a blanket. He must have made some movement or noise as Ms Taiah poked her head back in the curtained cove.
"Good afternoon, sir." A smile graced the white mawed face as she came to his side. "Best not move fast…" He must have tried to sit back up or something as palms went to his hip.
There was the pain again as his face flinched- looking down to the wrapped leg. No more stone and a sewn up gash.
"Please; just lay back down, I'll let you get up in a few hours, alright?" Taiah's voice had a whole bunch of concern to it as Mouse's brain had to compute her request. Movement would probably break the stitches now that he thought of it. "Thank…..you…." Sleepy fog settled in under her hands as she must have gotten him back flat.
"Think nothing of it. You do still need to pay me later though." She said as he went back to dream land.
