Hood is a marking which typically covers the back of neck and face region. This marking can extend to encompass the whole head region, and in dominant form, creep along the back and down the forelimbs.

Hood can be present as a hard-edged marking, textured, soft-edged, or a blurred marking. This marking must not have any holes or discontinuities as it is a solid marking.

This marking starts from the head and works its way down but can be present just along the back of the neck - as shown in the example below.

When dominant, it can have two tones.
