Expressed Genes:
Ticking: Ti Ti – Ti ti

Ticking is a gene that only affects white-spotting genes, such as Appaloosa and Sabino. It basically takes the white gene and throws a paint-chipper at it. It roughens up the edges and makes holes in the mass of the white. Often it will have an effect called "mapping," where there is a very rough layer of thinner white around the white. If you have no white-spotting genes, it can tick the Minimum white or Minimum black.

The examples are of Ticking vs Non-Ticking.
