This item applies Cr to a colonist's genome via design update.
Cream: Cr Cr – Cr cr – Chr Cr – Cr chr
The Cream gene by itself lightens and softens the base coat and therefore any marking atop that, with some exceptions below.
This takes from a different base coat swatch than the regular swatch, found in the same place as the other base coat palettes.
The following is not affected by Cream:
- Melanistic colonists
- Inherited underbelly
Any marking that must be from a black range, such as minimal black or inkblot, should either be from their normal black base or should be from the cream palette for the black base coat for that species.
