Sable: Sb Sb – Sb sb
Sable (previously known as Sooty) is a smooth, blurred darkening of the dorsal half of the body, along the spine. It must be recognizably darker than the base coat or can be from the free black range.
Sable tends to look either like a soft cloak thrown across the shoulders and back of a colonist or has the wavelike ripples along its edge, mimicking a shoreline or the dark, jagged edges of a dog's sable marking.
