Mutation(/defect?) Suggestion: Long snout! Like a borzoi

It could give salties a gharial snout, and beaked tarkee a hummingbird beak (small doodle)  

Maybe salties have a slightly higher chance to pass it down by default?

Also!

Defect suggestion: Short snout, the opposite!

This could give beaked tarkee a finch-like beak, and everyone else could look squished (another small doodle)

maybe in extreme cases they could get persian cat/pug faces, and then they'd get lowered stats (maybe strength or constitution since they wouldn't be able to breathe as well)
