A soft hum resonated trough the night as Bilo'bjorn sat, looking at the bunker keypad, clearly lost in thought. The night was cold, and most other interested Xunari had already left the bunker long ago- which gave Bilo'bjorn the perfect opportunity to get ahead of the other colonies investigating the wall's code. Preserve himself was very much out of his comfort zone trying to figure out the wall inscriptions, and had come along more as moral support than anything. It wasn't like Bilo'bjorn had any relevant knowledge to this kind of thing, either, but he had seemed determined to at least pay the bunker a visit. There had been a small breakthrough earlier today, with some of the message being successfully decrypted- which obviously had everyone excited about the mystery all over again. The colony back at home got excited too, but also quickly found that they, too, had focused on the first part of the text, and had little to no notes on the rest of it. "Hmmm The first sentence doesn't make a lot of sense without the rest of the text." Bilo'bjorn remarked, eyebrow raised. "I suppose not It seems to talk about some kind of critter,

but from the top of my head nothing really jumps out about it." Preserve said, feeling a tad useless. If the text referenced plants he'd have been a lot more helpful here, but unfortunately this didn't seem to be his time to shine. Bilo'bjorn sighed, grabbing something from his bag. "Well, I suppose we can take some extra notes now that we're here anyways." Preserve nodded. He looked at the bunker walls, covered in thick moss. Hmmm, odd. The moss here seemed ancient, the layer coating the wall quite thick by now, but this species of moss grew extremely quickly. He squinted. The section of wall was down low, all the way near the ground. "Hey Bilo'bjorn?" he started, getting the other colonist's attention. "Has anyone looked at this yet?" The black belemoid shrugged "Looked at the moss? No need, I'd assume, although that is more your area of expertise." "Can you help me out? I wanna try scraping some of the moss off." Bilo'bjorn seemed a little confused, but gladly helped his friend out. As the two set to work, Preserve's suspicions were confirmed. Some of the moss was hiding some of the strange text! Persevere cheered triumphantly, and

Bilo'bjorn too looked excited at the uncovering. "We'll have to quickly take some notes!" Preserve said, already getting a pencil and paper out of his bag. "This moss grows very quickly, so if we don't disturb it further we might be able to get the notes down and then leave it to regrow overnight " Bilo'bjorn nodded, and the two quickly went to work. They were done pretty quickly, and headed home with the shapes in the wall neatly copied over. When they got home, they quickly explained what they had found to the other scholars, and they all started to work on decrypting the text.
