A Tsabhua whelp was trekking through the thick forests of the L'hatzif. The ground was soaked, a wet squelch with every step a constant reminder that he was trekking through a swamp. Zephyr's paws now coated in mud as he continued to travel along the terrain, he would stop every so often and look upwards towards the tops of the mushrooms which created such a dense forest. It was Mid-Shemesh a time to avoid areas with multiple Crees Monolith as they were in spore, and would continue to be for some time. Zephyr had set out early this morning in hopes of finding something, really anything interesting to bring back to the colony. When he had first set out, he could hear the sounds of something moving through an area where the ground was drier. He thought it may be a flowering hound but knowing that it was too far into the morning he still ducked low to the ground waiting for the creature to pass. Zephyr wanted to see a flowering hound with his own eyes, but today would not be the day where that happened. Slow and methodical footsteps revealed a grumpy looking rockthroat, though they all looked that way.

Most of the flora around Zephyr was massive and towered so high he couldn't imagine ever trying to take a full tree-like mushroom back to the colony with him. Rather he was also searching the ground looking for smaller versions of the giant flora. A couple hours into his trek, Zephyr found a small area where the sun broke through the mushroom canopy and warmed the swampy ground. Not only offering warmth but also a dry surface, something he hadn't seen for the majority of his travel so far. There was a large Shell Monolith which created a wall he could rest against to enjoy the warm sun. It wasn't into the hot season yet so Zephyr was glad to find a sunny area to warm at least his paws which were chilled by the mud that now encased them. As he gently leaned on the wall-like mushroom surface, he turned his head towards the direction of the sun and gently closed his orange-colored eyes. Listening into his surroundings there were tell-tale signs of wild Nukaps in the distance. The squeaking and oinking of their almost adult nuklets following as the adult with them likely is foraging. As the sounds of the Nukaps fade, the sun began to become shaded once more by the tall mushroom growth.

The sun and its warmth had been present long enough to dry the mud on his paws. While the warmth on his upper arms and head felt nice, it felt even better on his shoulders and other limbs. His upper portion being a cream color meant that it took longer to warm than the darker blanketed brick color of the rest of his body. Before continuing to travel, Zephyr took the time to pick and brush the dried clay from his fur. He then got back on his feet, and looked at the Shell Monolith he had been resting against. If only he had brought a knife out with him, or something to cut a piece of the mushroom with. He didn't want to struggle with trying to tear a piece off as the mushroom is quite pliable while rooted in the ground. So Zephyr continued on his travels, going only an hour further from the colony before he began to trek back. It was only midday now, but he needed to do some cleaning back in the colony before nightfall. On his trek back Zephyr picked up some small items on his way back home. He had found some interesting items and was excited the closer he got to the colony's border.

He arrived back in the semi-open clearing. A medium sized area, with some flora and medium size mushrooms growing to provide some shade that would be needed come the hot seasons. He found an area with sun to once again dry and then clean the mud from his paws as the colony's living area was mostly dried ground except for the very edges. He placed the items he had found into a simple wooden storage box, before continuing to clean up different areas in the colony. Eventually Zephyr turned in for the evening, curling up under a larger mushroom and falling asleep tired from trekking so far.
