Moon Stone stepped out of her own small hut and into the brisk cold air of Rekes. The black snow capped mountains shadowed the evergreens that lined the village. The snow had fallen again making it harder to see the trail that had been worn down from days past.

She had clients coming to the clinic today and she needed to make sure everything was clean and in its place. She was still waiting on several supplies. She made her way down the trail toward a squat round building when a tan blurr shot out from under one of the tall evergreens that surrounded the village.

"Ahh!" Moon Stone shouted.

"Gotcha!" Noel exclaimed a little too happily. Her face beaming with joy.

"Noel, Don't scare Moon Stone like that." Chastised Alexander as he too appeared from the fringe of trees. Close behind him was a green Tark'ee that carried a rather large basket full of iceberries in his beak.

"I see Jermaul was successful." Moon Stone said once she got her breath back and her heart stopped trying to jump out of her chest.

"Oh yes! We all helped." Noel chimed in. The grin on the others' faces told her that not that many of Noel's berries made it into the basket.

An idea popped into Moon Stone's mind. "Jermaul, Do you think I could have a couple of those bunches? I think it would be nice to have an edible centerpiece for my clinic."

It only took Jermaul seconds to decide. "Sure. I can always pick more. Do you have a bowl for them?"

"Yep. I know the perfect bowl." Moon Stone answered.

"What are you doing today?" Alexander asked as he came alongside Moon Stone.

"Oh just finishing touch ups to the clinic. I see my first client this afternoon." She answered excitedly.

"Need a helping hand or two?" Alexander asked politely.

"Sure. It is just doing a last minute dusting and cleaning. Shouldn't take long." Moon Stone said.

They arrived at the squat round building. Moon Stone put in her key and opened up the door. There was a slate blue desk facing the door and several waiting lounge pillows in various shades of blues and greys. Two separate doors led into waiting rooms.

"You can set the bowl of iceberries right on the desk. I am going to get the bowl." Moon Stone disappeared behind one of the doors. Jermaul placed the light blue berries on the desk. Kel looked around the bare room calmly while Noel sat behind the desk.

"Look, I can be Moon Stone's secretary." She said as she pretended to type on a non existent computer.

Just then they all heard a loud bang that rang out along with a quick yell. They all dashed through the door, through the exam room and through another door. They entered the room that was half storage and half small surgery room.

Moon Stone stood still with her clawed paw up to her chest. A metal bowl lay on the floor upside down where she had obviously dropped it.

"A-A huldah!" She stuttered.

"Another one. I thought we got them all last time." Alexander said in disbelief.

"I saw it. It was a big one, all black in color with beady little eyes. It disappeared behind the cabinet.

Moon Stone gasped out.

We could always get the ray guns again." Jermaul suggested.

"No ray guns. Not after what happened last time." Moon Stone said quickly.

"Well how are we going to catch them this time?" Alexander asked.

"Oh I know." Noel said just before she raced out.

"Where do you suppose she is going?" Moon Stone asked the other two.

Jermaul shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows." He bent down and picked up the dropped bowl. He quickly inspected it but there were no dents. "I am going to take care of those berries while we wait.

Alexander had moved over to the corner of the room that Moon Stone had said the huldah had disappeared.

"It looks like it chewed a hole right here." He said as he pointed to the back corner of the counter.

"I got them!" Noel exclaimed as she came through the door. Under one of her arms she carried what looked like a trap. And another one was strapped to her back.

"What are those?" Jermaul asked as he followed her back in after leaving the metal bowl behind in the waiting room.

"These are live traps. Cousin Toffee told me about them when I went to visit her in the mining shed. She says they are great for trapping unwanted pests." Noel placed the first one down by the counter where the rat had last been seen and then with the help of Alexander untying the trap strapped to her back they decided to place it in a dark corner and put a blanket over the top.

"I think we need something that will attract them." Moon Stone said. Looking at the bare trap lying alongside the wall.

"Hmm, Well we do have iceberries. We could try them and see if it will attract the huldah." Jermaul suggested.

"I know they would attract me. " Noel piped up. " I will get them!" She said, then before anyone could say anything she ran back out to the waiting room and came back with a small bunch of the pale blue fruit. She handed them over to Alexander as he was the only one with hands small enough to place the berries inside.

Alexander placed the last berry in the trap and they once again pulled a blanket over the top. Leaving just enough room in the front where the opening was for a sizable huldah to enter.

"Now we just wait and see." Moon Stone said. "Help me clean the rest of the clinic. Maybe by the time we are done we will have catched one." Moon Stone gathered up blue rags she had in one of the cabinets and had Alexander fill a bucket with water and a splash of bleach.

They then went back to the waiting room. A silver metal bowl sat on the corner of the desk filled to the brim with the pale blue of the iceberries.

"Ok, pick a corner. And start to wash down the walls. It shouldn't take very long." Moon Stone said, picking out her rag.

Jermaul and Alexander also picked out theirs. Noel started to toss the cousins to the middle of the room before she picked out hers.

Soon they were all busy washing walls and talking about what their plans were for the rest of the week.
