Woodland groaned in annoyance, picking up a spear that had laid besides the field she had been working on. "Get! Out!" she cursed at the small Nukap that had wandered into the field, and had been hapilly munching on some of the crops. Sadly, it was too late for the small plant, the Nukap having pulled off most of it leaves. What was left likely wouldn't regrow. Woodland frowned, as much as she hated to bring harm to living things, at this rate half her field would be gone.
Koi had overheard and made her way over to Woodland, gently patting her on her shoulder. "We should ah, probably take care of that." Woodland glanced at her, clearly unhappy. "We will make sure it won't go to waste." Koi reassured her.
Woodland shrugged. "I suppose I did give it plenty of time to get away by now..."
Koi nodded reassuringly. You're doing what's best for the colony. It's be a shame if we didn't have enough food because the Nukap ate it all."
Koi spotted Reach in the distance and quickly gestured at the lavender Tsab to make her come over. Reach, albeit confused, came walking over right away.
"Woodland is having some trouble with a Nukap living around here." Koi quickly explained, gesturing to the mostly eaten plant. The rest of the field was dotted with the Nukap's other victims. It had been hard to see before, with the plants being young, but as they had started to grow, various bald patched made their presence known throughout the field.
Reach frowned, looking at the field. "That makes sense, to be honest." she sighed. "We should really work on putting some fences around the fields. Wouldn't stop the smaller critters, but at least a fully grown Nukap wouldn't be able to get trough anymore."
Woodland nodded. "I fear we must get rid of this one first, though." she sighed. "I let it get too comfortable around here, so it'll probably get back into the field."
"I mean, it's not *your* fault." Koi argued. "I've seen you chase it off countless times now."
Reach nodded. "Plus, if it was hovering close by it likely would've become an issue sometime soon anyways."
Woodland felt a bit more reassured now. "It went that way if you want to go get it." She said to Reach, who nodded. "Of course. When I come back, we can help you set up a fence, and maybe some traps for smaller critters."
Koi nodded. "I'll come with you, Reach. It's a tad dangerous to go out alone, of course."
Reach snorted. Knowing her, she probably saw it as a small jab at her skill level, which is not at all how Koi had meant the comment.
"I'll ah- be here if you two nee me, I suppose." Woodland proposed. She'd really rather not come along. She had successfully managed to avoid hunting duties for a while now, and wasn't about to pick it back up again now, when the field needed tending to.
