Snap squealed as he was met with a big splash of water being sent directly into his face. "Blast! I've been telling to not to do that!" he spat, annoyed, as he tried to wring the water out of his mane. "I don't want to be soaked for the rest of the day!"

Blast flailed around dramatically, making Roam eye him with suspicion from where he was sitting with Venture and Traverse. The two youngest whelps were much too young for swimming, but Roam had promised the older whelps they could swim in the small river cutting trough the colony's territory today.

Eventually Blast stopped flailing around, and Snap raised an eyebrow at him. "Done yet?" to which Blast groaned. "You're no fun! Watch! Capture! Look!" he flailed around some more, splashing poor Snap again. "I felt something under the water- and then it grabbed me! Argh!"

"Oh no!" Capture called out, and began to swim over "Hang in there, Blast!"

Watch didn't seem too into Blas's game, either, but rolled his eyes and swam over nonetheless.

Capture grinned "We have to save him, Watch! Hurry, hurry!"

Snap rolled his eyes. They were going to worry Roam if they kept playing like this! "Ugh, fine. Grab my arm, Blast, I'll pull you out."

Blast was still flailing around in the water, pretending something had grabbed him "I can't reach you Snap! Aaaah! Someone help!!! It's pulling me down!!!"

Capture frowned "Oh no! It grabbed me too! Argh!"

Snap sighed- two whelps were now splashing around in the water wildly, which made it rather hard to be able to see and swim towards them. "Watch, can you help them out? Maybe we can- uh- dive under and see what's dragging them down?"

Watch rolled his eyes- Snap was probably right in thinking that the younger whelps wouldn't stop until the "monster" pulling them down was vanquished- but the red Tark'ee wasn't keen on putting up with their silly games.

"Fiiiine! I'll go check- you just hold tight." Watch called out, as he disappeared under the water. 

Roam was still watching the four carefully, and Snap made sure to give him a shy little wave to show him that everything was okay, and the apparent drowning wasn't real. Roam smiled, waving back at her, seemingly put on ease for now as he turned his attention back to the youngest whelps he had with him.

A while later, Watch popped back up holding a large piece of some aquatic plant.

"I found some kind of- uh- snake in the water!" he triumphantly held the plant up.

Capture and Blast whelps squealed excitedly. "It almost had us, right Watch!" to which Watch rolled his eyes "yea, sure."

Snap chuckled "You guys better play quietly now, or else the snake monster will come back!"

"Noooo! I don't wanna be grabbed again! Quick, Blast, swim away!" Capture said, quickly swimming in the other direction. Snap sighed, hoping to now be able to enjoy a peaceful afternoon.
