Finn wasn't sure why the colony kept coming back to Issiq. Not a single trip there had resulted in one of the members of the colony going "Sheesh! I enjoyed that! Let's do that again!" but still, here she and Crown were again, roaming the desert, heading for a mine in the dreadfully hot working conditions. Luckily, the underground would be cooler. Still, Finn knew by now, the air would be dry and dusty, even down in the mines.

The two had just arrived at the mines when they spotted two other Xunari, both younger than them, who seemed to be arguing over a minecart. The thing seemed broken, as they always were honestly. Finn frowned, looking at Crown, who kind of shrugged at him. She had been injured recently, and had been given a thumbs-up for being allowed back on a mining expedition a few days ago, and was probably excited to head back in.

The two were still arguing though, and it was clearly more heated now. Finn sighed heading over to the two. "I just think we should ask someone for a different cart, Spen." the pale Tsabhua said, followed by a groan from the black-and-purple belemoid "Moxie *please* could you just let it go?"

Finn cleared her throat behind the two, startling the younger Xunari. "Oh- uh, hi! Can we help you with anything?" The darker Xunari, Spen, said. Finn raised an eyebrow. "I think I should asking you two that. Your arguing can be heard across the entire mines." The two younger Xunari seemed embarrassed by that.

"Ah, our minecart broke." The lighter one, Moxie, says shyly. Finn frowned. While the cart was broken, it looked like it'd still run just fine, albeit would be squeaky and uneven. Finn huffed, deciding not to bother with asking an explanation from the two. "We can swap?" she suggested, gesturing at Crown who stood a bit away with their cart, which they had *just* gotten fixed back at home. The cart the two had seemed similar enough to not be a bad trade, being a similar model to the one Finn and Crown had brought, besides being broken. It would probably be fine, someone at home wouldn't mind fixing it.

The two agreed, quite happy with the trade, who wouldn't be honestly, and Finn went to join Crown in mining further. It wasn't long until they found the two Xunari again, hearing them having a hushed conversation fair bit away. Finn looked up at Crown, who again just shrugged, seeming content to let things be and just enjoy her time mining. Fair enough, Finn supposed.

Eventually, the two slowly started scooting closer. and when they were within earshot of regular conversation Moxie pipped up with "Ah, excuse me but- " he seemed to hesitate a bit as looked at her, pausing her mining to answer the other Xunari. "Uhm- we just wanted to know what you were mining there."

Finn hummed curiously, smashing the pickaxe into the wall once more and pulling out the clump of rocks that fell out. Brushing off the dust, she offered it to the other Xunari. "it's copper." she said, watching Spen turn the rock around in her hands curiously.

The lightest of the two younger Xunari seemed surprised. "I thought it'd be more shiny." Spen frowned, and added "I thought it'd look different from the rocks- I can hardly see the difference." Finn nodded, "It's because the rocks in Issiq are quite orange shaded. Especially in the dark, they blend together. Most literature and such will describe them with colour, but in Issiq it's better to look out for a specific texture." she looked at her companion Crown a bit, who added "We do the same trying to find iron in our home, L'hatzif." shrugging she added "it's just easier then making yourself crazy looking for a slightly different shade of grey."

Finn stepped away, letting the other Xunari closer to the vein of copper running along the walls. "Give it a try. It's pretty easy to find once you know how it feels." both younger Xunari gave it a try, and seemed pretty amazed at how different the wall felt. "You can also tell by the blue colour you see sometimes. Although that only really shows up on untouched veins, of course. Feel free to keep mining here, we were about to head out anyways." the two nodded, excited with the bit of knowledge, thanking Finn profusely.

Crown put the last chunk of ore into their cart, looking at Finn. "Ready to go?" Finn hummed, nodding. "Yea, sure." She wave goodbye to the two other Xunari, happy to have helped them out.
