Content Warning: Medical Scenario, some medical malpractice
After the incident with the collapsing mine, Crown had noticed one of her feet were aching an annoying amount. She had finished the expedition regardless, gritting her teeth to complete said mission even though she probably shouldn't have. One of the locals, a violet Tsabhua called Stormbreaker, had given all four members of the mining party a quick glance over, but Crown had been a little embarrassed over her injury, and hadn't spoken up when she probably had to, making the not-quite experiences physician miss her injury completely.
They had gone back to the mine the next day, and descended into the newly uncovered cavern to pick up Isaac and Jaelor's tools. The locals seemed pretty excited at the cave, lucky them, and had happily offered to help out fetching the tools. In the end, with the right tools, it hadn't been that big of an effort, leaving them with most the day to do whatever they pleased.
Finn had gone into town, saying something about getting more safety gear for in the future, which left Crown all alone for the day. She ha tried to grit her teeth trough the pain, but eventually gave in, sulking over to Stormbreaker's home to get another check-up.
"Yikes!" the purple Tsab had said, upon further looking at her foot. "That looks real nasty. Sorry I missed that." he had given her some painkillers, and with that, sent her on her way, assuring her that the injury would heal on it's own after a while.
---
When she and Finn had gotten home, though, her foot had still be hurting, an even more so since she had not been resting it, not having been told to do so. She had walked into Matter and Scale's clinic, which was calm as always, to ask the two about it.
"They told you to walk this off?" Scale exclaimed, appalled. Even Matter looked at her with clear concern. "Ah- I mean, not exactly? But that's what it came down to." Crown said, before hesitantly adding "He gave me pain killers though?" he reached over to his bag, taking out the now empty bottle of pain killers.
Scale seemed even more appalled now "You took those and managed to keep standing?" she scoffed, "those were way too strong!" she groaned. "All he had to tell you was to rest! That's it!" She rolled her eyes. "Now you'll be down for even longer!" Scale went on a tirade for a while longer, but ended the visit off by giving Crown some weaker painkillers, and telling her she was put on bedrest for at least a week.
