Two whelps happily padded into the shallow ocean water. Having seen how overworked both Roam and Fawn were, with all the whelps in the nursery, Twinkle had offered to take the two whelps to the beach to look for seashells.

"What's the ocean like, Twinkle?" aske Predict, Preserve perking up and tuning into the conversation too right away. Twinkle chuckled, her eyes sparkling with excitement as the whelps were still exploring the shoreline.

"Well," she started "the ocean is vast and mysterious." she hummed, following the two whelps as they explored. "To me, it's always been a place of endless wonders."

Predict and preserve gasped, excitedly muttering between each other. "Have you been there a lot? Roam always says you an Finn can swim really well." Twinkle nodded "I can swim really well. But I like to stay near rivers and lakes. The ocean is huge, and kind of scary since you never know what's hiding there."

Preserve caught a glimpse of something in the corner of his eyes- and instantly dashed towards a cluster of colourful seashells. They sat there for a while, distracted by the colourful shells and comparing their shapes and colours. Twinkle was distracted by the waves for a while, until one of the whelps called out.

"Twinkle! Look at what we've found." Predict exclaimed, excitedly holding up a bright re seashell. "It's so pretty!"

Twinkle's widened her eyes in faked admiration as she examined the shell. "That's a rare find, Predict. Well done! And what about you, Preserve? Have you discovered any treasures?"

Preserve proudly showed Twinkle a small collection of almost round pebbles. "I found these! They look like tiny glowing stars, don't you think?" he exclaimed, his eyes shimmering with delight.

They put the treasures the two had found off to the side, for them to pick up to bring home at the end of the day.

When they came back to the shore, Preserve excitedly exclaimed "Can we go swimming, Twinkle?" the adult seemed hesitant "I mean... I don't think that's the best-" she wavered, looking at the whelps who both seemed excited at the mention of swimming. "I understand that you're excited, Preserve, but the ocean can be quite unpredictable. It's important to be cautious and respectful of its power." she looked at Predict as well, making sure the other whelp was listening as well. The whelps seemed disappointed, pouting at Twinkle.

"However," she continued, "there are still ways to enjoy the water safely. We can look for shallow areas where the waves are gentle, and so long as I'll be right there to watch over you, you can swim there for a bit before we leave." The whelps perked up at this, nodding excitedly and calling out "Let's go look!" and dashing off.

Twinkle briefly wondered if the speech about safety really landed, the whelps looking like they did not quite understanding the importance of safety, still.

They eventually found a calmer patch of water, and Twinkle gently coaxed the two into the shallow water.  She made sure to stay close, keeping a watchful eye on them as they laughed and played in the shallows. Twinkle eventually let the two venture a tiny bit further, making sure to keep a close eye on them in case the waves overpowered either whelp. She did not want to hear the scolding Fawn and Roam would give her if either of the whelps got hurt in the water under her care.

After a while of playing in the water, luckily nothing bad having happened, they returned to their treasures, carefully gathering the seashells and pebbles they had found previously. Twinkle again gently praised the two for their keen eyes, and expressed her admiration over their findings.

Looking at the horizon, Twinkle told the whelps that she had one more surprise for them. She ushered them up to a cliff that hung over the water.

As the suns began to dip below the horizon,  a mesmerizing display of colours across the sky began to form. Twinkle led Predict and Preserve to a small cliff above the water, careful to keep them both away from the dangerous ege, where they could witness the breath-taking sight. The trio sat in peaceful silence, the whelps amazed by the beauty in front of them,

"Thank you for bringing us here, Twinkle." Predict whispered, her voice filled with awe.

As the stars emerged in the night sky, Twinkle, Predict, and Preserve packed up and headed back to the colony. The whelps complained at first, but quickly found that they were exhausted enough already. They came home a little over midnight, Roam giving Twinkle a slight glare for brining the whelps home so late. He seemed to mellow out as soon as he saw how happy the whelps were, though.
